Exploring Malaysia
MALAYSIA is home to many interesting and exciting destinations.
Kuala Lumpur’s popular tourist spots include Batu Caves, Petronas Twin Towers, and Chinatown.
Petronas Twin Towers is one of my favourite sites to visit. Did you know that it was designed by César Pelli, an Argentine architect?
It took six years to complete, from 1993 to 1998. If you ever have the chance to visit this majestic structure, be sure to cross the Skybridge to enjoy a 360° view of the city of Kuala Lumpur.
If you like the outdoors, Sabah is known for natural destinations such as Sipadan Island, Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary and Kinabalu National Park.
Have you been to these places before? What are some of your favourite places to go to during the holidays?
Ten-year-old Eryna Sofia Rahmath Ali, says, “Recently, my family and I went to Cherating, Pahang, for a holiday. I enjoyed swimming in the beaches at Cherating.”
Sheza Alina Mohamad Shaik Ariffin, six, writes, “I love to go to Penang during the holidays.
“The sunset at Batu Ferringhi beach is very pretty. In addition, the food in Penang is
very delicious. My favourites are rojak and ABC.”
Four-year-old Naafiqah Mohamad Shaik Ariffin says, “I enjoyed my visit at Zoo Taiping recently. There are a lot of animals in the zoo. Elephants, zebras, and lions are my favourite animals.”
Kahvinnes Devkanabathy, eight, writes, “My favourite travel destination is Batu Caves. There is a large and beautiful statue of Lord Murugan at the entrance of the temple.”
Eight-year-old Mabel Loo Jia Ting, says, “Port Dickson is my favourite holiday destination in Malaysia. I love to swim at the beach in Port Dickson.”
ITEM: Bubbles are actually made up of a thin film of soap filled with a pocket of air. Do you like to blow bubbles in your free time? What do bubbles remind you of? Does it remind you of the cartoon character, Bubbles from Powerpuff Girls or bubblegum or bubble tea? Do you blow bubbles in the shower or in the park? Starchild wants to know.
