JURISTECH is a Malaysian financial technology (fintech) company that serves most major banks in Malaysia. It specialises in software solutions in artificial intelligence (AI), conversational chatbot, digital customer onboarding, loan origination, credit scoring, loan documentation and debt collections.
See Wai Hun and John Lim co-founded Juristech in 1997 amid the Asian financial crisis. The company was initially poised to deliver its data mining and data analytics tools to enterprises.
However, due to the economic condition during the financial crisis, the initial founders found an opportunity to offer debt collection and litigation software instead as that was what the market needed at the time.
Now, Juristech has expanded its suite of solutions to adapt with the rapid changes of the fintech industry.
Juristech chief executive officer See, being a risk-taker and an early adopter, invested in technology that was way ahead of its time, even in the face of extreme uncertainty.
As a result, Juristech was the first company to deploy AI as early as 2004, before AI even became a buzzword.
