WORQ-ING their way up
CO-WORKING spaces are fast gaining popularity these days, with many options available, especially within Klang Valley, resulting in an increasingly competitive market. One of the leading players that stood out against this backdrop is none other than WORQ, having set up not one but three different locations throughout Klang Valley, namely Subang Jaya, Bangsar South and Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI).
Pioneered by chief executive officer Stephanie Ping and chief financial officer Andrew Yeow, WORQ was built to become a community space right from the start.
Ping says, “WORQ is more than a workspace, it is a community where individuals achieve greater results through sharing of experiences and helping one another.
“We are proud to call ourselves a productivity community. We believe that by improving the productivity of entrepreneurs, freelancers and businesses we can have a significant impact on the economy. On top of that, we believe in the power of leveraging networks, embracing diversity and most importantly, the impact of genuine and lasting human connection,” she shares.
With a number of their members being small and medium enterprises (SMES), enterprises and start-ups, productivity is paramount. For WORQ’S members, one of the common challenges faced was in having a fixed business landline.
Seeking for a solution to their challenge, WORQ began employing Omni, an all-in-one virtual business landline phone system that allows you to operate your business’ call centre and phone system at the palm of your hands.
Simplifying business solutions
Omni is a digital solution by Digi, designed for SMES, enterprises and
start-ups, providing them with office landline numbers in place of using their personal mobile numbers, yet it is operated from their smartphones.
It also comes with other useful features such as an interactive virtual receptionist that helps greet callers and manage incoming calls, having extension lines to your team’s smartphones, call forwarding, call recordings, automated voicemail-to-text transcription and more.
For SMES, obtaining a landline can be a tedious process and would also incur a high cost. Omni operates 100% on a mobile app and it fully does away with the need for clunky hardware and on-site installation, as well as the relevant maintenance cost that comes with it.
Yet, Omni users get to enjoy the benefits and credibility of running a business with a landline number.
Users are also not tied down by complex contracts, setup fees, line rentals or service costs. They only need to select a simple monthly subscription that best suits their requirements and pay accordingly for the service.
WORQ themselves are an Omni advocate, deploying it in July this year for all three co-working spaces. For a co-working space like WORQ that prioritises the operational and business needs of their members, they see the value in magnifying the transferred calls because every missed call is a missed business opportunity.
Digital for growth
In this ever-growing landscape where businesses have to evolve to adapt to consumer demands, WORQ is able to provide better value-added services for their members with the help of digital solutions such as Omni that provides smaller companies the
opportunity to be on par with other existing organisations.
Although SMES play a huge role in the country’s economic growth, many are still wary about leveraging digital solutions for their operations, citing lack of knowledge, resources and budget as roadblocks.
Digi’s chief digital officer, Praveen Rajan, mentions that digital transformation does not need to be complicated as it brings a lot of benefits to business owners who are willing to take the leap.
For instance, the ease of access of digital solutions like Omni can be an easy first step into digitalisation.
In fact, interested business owners do not need to be a Digi user to subscribe to Omni as the service is telco agnostic, making it open to all who can benefit from its features. Registration takes only five minutes and payment can be made via credit card.
“With Omni, businesses get a full-fledged landline number
phone system that operates completely on smartphones. With realtime monitoring and the ability to forward all calls to a smartphone, business owners do not need to worry about missing important calls or losing out on business opportunities again. We want to connect our customers to what matters most to them, which include their own customers, products and services,” Praveen says.
In the age of digital transformation, it can be a simple journey where business owners are able to better take control of the aspects of their businesses that they wish to digitalise in order to streamline their processes and work much more efficiently.
With the right ways and platform, business owners can move their business to another level to keep up with the evolving digital economy.
