A NEW “beast” has just been unleashed in Kuala Lumpur and it is said to be full of fun.

Beast Park at the Jumpa annex in Sungei Wang Plaza is an indoor theme park by Camp5, Celebrating Life and CapitaLand.

“This theme park is all about unleashing your inner beast. It’s an adventure and entertainment space for families and friends to come together to have fun, lepak and spend time together,” park manager Fara Yasin said during a media tour of the park recently.

The theme park’s five-in-one concept was developed by Celebrating Life, Asia’s leading attractions development consultant and includes a Camp5 climbing gym, Beast Junior active playground (which has a state-of-theart ninja obstacle course, maze, E-Wall and Fun Cave), Beast Academy training programmes, floating nets and a cafe.

It was designed to be a cool hang out spot featuring 15m-high ceilings with natural light, contemporary fixtures, and social activities complemented by a cafe that offers coffee and healthy food.

“The park is designed for a new community of ‘beasts’ who share the same values of a healthy lifestyle plus fun. It is suitable for millennials, and stepping into the park is like joining the community, whether it is for a play date with friends, coffee while watching the action, or an after-work climbing fix,” Celebrating Life chief executive officer Thibault Paquin said.

“While Camp5 and Beast Academy will appeal to young adults, Beast Junior will be the only such skill advancement facility for children and teens in the city centre currently, and Beast Net is an Instagram-worthy attraction for tourists in Bukit Bintang,” he added.

CapitaLand Malaysia Mall Trust general manager (mall management) Lawrence Teh said: “Our goal is to create spaces that provide quality and unique retail experiences to meet the needs of different generations of shoppers.”

He added that Sungei Wang Plaza, which has been around since 1977, has always appealed to the older generation. But it is their goal to be more inclusive and to also reach out to the younger generation as well as to tourists visiting Malaysia.

BeastPark’s other official partners include travel activities and services booking platforms Klook and Traveloka Xperience.

The park is open from 10am to 10pm every day. For more information, visit www.beastpark.my.
