Riverdale Season Four

- –KC

I FEEL like giving up on Riverdale ... but I can’t just yet.

When the teen series – which features characters from the Archie comics – began to lean heavily on all things supernatural in Season Three, I started losing interest. The storyline just got ridiculous.

In the latest season, the show seems to have dialled the supernatural element down a notch, with the leader of the supernatural cult that dominated Season Three officially out of the picture (I think).

There’s more focus on the characters and their development, which is a step in the right direction for sure. For one, Jughead just moved to a new school – will it affect his relationship with Betty?

The overarching mystery now centres on a series of strange videos. The residents of Riverdale find videos on their doorsteps, each containing hours and hours of recordings capturing the front of their respective houses. Still creepy, but not ludicrous.

Season Five of the series has been confirmed. Perhaps the biggest reason why I can’t shake off Riverdale just yet is the need to find out how the high school-set series will go on when the characters, currently in their final year, graduate. I mean they can’t stay in high school forever, right?

Riverdale Season Four is available on

Netflix.
