SINCE shooting to fame in 2017 with her breakout hit Pematah Hati, singer Nabila razali (pic) has barely had any time to rest.

“I’ve been so busy before this. even during ramadan, there would be a lot of events usually. the MCO has allowed me to really rest my body, mind and soul,” she says. Indeed, besides physical rest, Nabila believes the mind needs rest too. “Mental health is an important issue we need to highlight especially during this pandemic. there’s a book I’ve been reading, Good Vibes, Good Life. It has taught me to calm myself down, think positively and love myself more.”

Another lesson the 27-yearold has learned recently during ramadan is patience.

“With the previous ramadans, time goes by really fast when you’re keeping yourself busy. Before you know it, it’s time to break fast. these days, I have some work to do but I’m not as busy as before.

“It feels like a long time before buka puasa. So this ramadan has taught me a lot about patience.”

Another blessing MCO has brought her this ramadan is the chance to break fast with her family.

“(Back then) when I had to rush between events, I would break fast in the car. And even when I did get the chance to break fast with my family, it would only be four or five times at most each ramadan. “Now, I get to do it with them every day. And it’s such a precious time. We would have sharing sessions,” says Nabila, who resides with her parsister’s ents and her family. the Peluang Kedua hit getting maker is used to the idea of Hari raya without the usual balik kampung this year. “We usually balik kampung on Day two of raya, where I’d get to meet my extend family ed and see how much my nephnieces ews and have grown since I last saw them.

“Now, we’ll probably be just doing video calls. It won’t be the same but at least it’s something.”
