Creative young talents
DO you know the famous painting Mona Lisa? It took the artist Leonardo da Vinci over 10 years to finish painting it. It’s one of many famous paintings you can see in museums.
Art has a long history. It’s a way for people to express themselves in creative ways, to show what they see and how they feel. What is your favourite art? Do you like colouring or drawing? Or maybe you like calligraphy or batik painting. It’s fun to do art, and everyone can do it.
Recently, Starchild asked readers to send in their letters on the topic: World Art Day.
“What I like about art is it allows me to start with a simple design and jump into an intricate pattern, depending on my mood and creativity,” says Erin Sonia Colin ,11.
Areez Reza Haslan Farouk, 9, writes: “I love art because I can express my creativity. I like to use colour pencils, watercolour and crayons.”
ITEM: Do you prefer to eat white chocolate or milk chocolate? Or do you like dark chocolate with mint?
Children enjoy chocolate because it tastes sweet and delicious. In conjunction with World Chocolate Day on July 7, Starchild wants to know more about the type (or types) of chocolate that you fancy.
And how about sharing three fun facts about your favourite chocolate? Don’t forget to colour the drawing as well.
