What is inflammation?

-

INFLAMMATION is part of the body’s immune response to remove harmful stimuli and begin the healing process.

Inflammation is a double-edged sword as it helps with wound healing and the symptoms of pain and stiffness discourages activity during the healing process. However, inflammation can also cause further damage, known as secondary muscle damage, between workouts.

Secondary muscle damage is believed to be caused in part by the release of free radicals from active neutrophils and is the main reason you feel more sore the morning after a tough workout or race.

For athletes who train hard every day, inflammation may not be entirely resolved and muscle damage may not heal adequately between workouts. If the cycle of training is too hard and resting too little continues, it can cause persistent tissue trauma and chronic inflammation.

Joint tissues also suffer damage during exercise and undergo a subsequent inflammation response. Joints may become chronically inflamed when not fully regenerated and can cause serious injury. One of the injuries called “Runner’s Knee”, develops in this manner.

Turmeric and its benefits

Turmeric, or Curcuma longa, is an ancient spice popular in India and Asia for thousands of years, commonly used as a medicinal herb for centuries. Now, it is widely used in our diet as well.

According to the Journal of the American Chemical Society, turmeric contains a wide range of properties. Among all of these benefits, turmeric is always targeted to be used as a relief for joints and muscular pain due to its high antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

With natural anti-inflammatory properties, it can help with general muscle aches, pains and potentially shorten the recovery period. It also reduces other common symptoms of inflammation such as redness, warmth and swelling.

Meanwhile, the strong antioxidant properties of curcumin help protect the body’s cells from damage caused by oxidative stress and free radicals. By neutralising free radical activity, it protects our body tissues against free radical attacks which accelerates the process of damage to cells.

Why Vitamode Tumecap?

Vitamode Tumecap contains the next generation of curcuminoids in Curcumin C3 Reduct with a minimum of 95% Tetrahydrocurcuminoids (THC) which is 250 times more potent than curcumin for anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It appears to be the major active metabolite of the curcuminoids that has greater significance as a therapeutic agent.

As THC is already the active form of curcumin, supplementation with THC is among the fastest natural ways to reduce pain and inflammation. It is recommended both for the elderly and working adults who suffer from joint and muscular pain so you can leave those aches and pain behind and start enjoying life actively.

Vitamode Tumecap is available in selected pharmacies nationwide.
