Seltos enters the fray
Naza Kia Malaysia now taking orders for all-new B-segment SUV.
THE Kia Seltos mid-sized sports utility vehicle (SUV) will be available in Malaysia next month in two variants of 1.6 EX and 1.6 GT-Line.
Prices are expected to be announced at launch date.
Power comes from a Gamma 1.6litre (1,591cc) naturally-aspirated multi-point injection engine with dual overhead camshafts and dual continuously variable valve timing delivering 123PS and 150.7Nm of torque.
Transmission is a six-speed automatic transmission that offers driving modes of Normal, Eco or Sport.
Using all-round disc brakes with 17-inch wheels, the Seltos also gets front MacPherson struts and rear torsion beam suspension.
Safety features include six airbags, anti-lock braking system, vehicle stability management, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, traction control and Isofix anchor points.
Other standard fitment includes keyless-entry with push-start button, leather upholstery that’s extended to the gear knob and sporty tri-spoke flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel with tilt and telescopic adjustability, roof rails and powered tailgate with hands-free operation.
The infotainment unit is a touchscreen audio display that’s been integrated with radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity and a reverse camera with dynamic guidelines.
The 1.6 EX variant gets automatic halogen projector headlights with manual levelling, halogen fog lamps and LED daytime running lights.
The 1.6 EX also gets a 3.5-inch colour TFT LCD supervision meter cluster and manual climate controls.
For the 1.6 GT-line, the vehicle comes with LEDs for its headlights and fog lights as well as front parking sensors.
The colour TFT LCD supervision meter cluster is larger at 7.0-inch and the GT-Line also comes with metal pedals, a wireless Qi charger and a heads-up display.
Glacier White Pearl and Gravity Grey are available for both variants while exclusive to the EX is Intense Red while the GT-Line gets Intelligency Blue.
