What makes you happy

-

WHAT are some of the things that bring you joy? Do you enjoy playing in the park with your siblings, watching your favourite TV show or having extra time to draw or read a book?

Or maybe you love playing in the rain or running about with your pets?

Happiness is important for all of us. When we are happy, it makes us feel better and even healthier.

Here’s what Starchild readers had to say on the topic, Happiness.

“I love my pets very much. They bring me so much joy, especially when they wait for me to return home from school,” says Amelia Hon Hui Qing, five.

“There are many things that bring me joy. These include reading, archery, drawing and colouring. Above all, I like to spend time with my family. I love going on family trips,” says Ayza Arina Abdul Majid, nine.

Bethany Wang Qi Syuen, five, says: “Drawing and colouring, eating ice cream and playing with my toys bring me joy. Sometimes, I read my brother’s favorite books to him and that always makes him happy. It brings joy to Mummy too.”

“One of my most favourite items is my pet turtle. It was a gift from my Daddy. I love it very much,” writes Jireh Poh Yi Reh, five.

“I like to play with my basketball, kite and top during my free time,” says Taranesh Ganasan,

eight.

“The best thing that I like to do is play with my younger brother,” says Sasitharan Ganapathi, five.

Older sibling Sirsha Ganapathi,

10, says: “I like to play with my younger brother Naresh. He’s very cute.”

“I like to look after my baby brother. Since he is a small boy, I usually play the clapping hand game with him. I love him very much,” says Kogila Ganapathi, six.

Seven-year-old Pavira Kumarendran, says: “I enjoy feeding birds in the park.”

Kerthana Selva Kumar, seven, is happiest when she’s outdoors. “I like to pick flowers and decorate them. I enjoy playing in the park.”
