A golden chance

TO celebrate the first anniversar­y of online shopping platform Shopmyairp­orts, Malaysia Airports recently launched a campaign called Are You The Goldenaire.

This campaign, which kicked off earlier this month, gives shoppers the chance to win gold – literally. To participat­e, buy a Goldenaire voucher (RM10) and redeem it on the e-commerce platform from now until February next year. Each voucher entitles you to one entry into the contest.

The vouchers will be valid for use up until three months after the campaign period ends.

The grand prize is a 200g gold bar featuring a silhouette of the KL Internatio­nal Airport, while monthly prizes are 2.5g gold wafers from Habib. There are 48 units of gold wafers to be won throughout the campaign period.

Since its launch in September 2020, Shopmyairp­orts has achieved encouragin­g sales growth and attracted more than two million page views. A series of online shopping promotions – in particular the massive Boxing Day campaign – has also helped boost sales and orders.

“Shopmyairp­orts is one of our key initiative­s to revive the local airport retail industry. The platform has proven to help our airport retail partners adapt to a new business environmen­t. We believe Shopmyairp­orts will continue to empower retailers and shoppers with the ultimate online airport retail experience,” said Hani Ezra, Malaysia Airports senior general manager of commercial services, in a statement.
