Sumatec appoints geologist as CEO

PETALING JAYA: Chris Dalton has been appointed CEO of Sumatec Resources Bhd effective-yesterday.

The 38-year-old British has a Bachelors and Masters degree in geology and petroleum geology respectively. He also is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Dalton has served 16 years in the oil and gas industry with Halliburton.

Concurrently, he held senior management positions in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as the Euroasia and Asia-pacific Halliburton consulting manager and drilling and completions consulting manager.
