KUALA LUMPUR The price of gold as at 5pm stood at RM160.73 per gramme, up RM6.63 from RM154.10 as at 5pm last Friday. – Bernama KUALA LUMPUR Tin price on the Kuala Lumpur Tin Market (KLTM) closed unchanged at US$19,550 a tonne in quiet but steady trading.

Some traders remained sidelined as the London Metal Exchange (LME) will be closed on Monday and Tuesday for a public holiday.

The LME, which usually sets the trend for the tin price, declined US$205 on Friday to close at US$19,395 per tonne.

At the opening level, bids stood at 30 tonnes while offers amounted to 78 tonnes.

Turnover shed to 28 tonnes from 47 tonnes on Friday with Japanese, European and local buyers dominating trade.

The premium between the KLTM and the LME widened to US$570 a tonne visa-vis US$330 a tonne last Friday. – Bernama
