Knight joins Ogilvy and Mather Malaysia as strategic planner
FOLLOWING the appointment last month of James Gaubert as head of digital and social, Ogilvy and Mather Malaysia continues to expand its impressive line-up with the addition of WPP Fellow and strategic planner, Christopher Knight.
In his role as integrated strategic planner, Knight will report to regional planning director Arindam Chatterjee and work closely with Gaubert, planning and execut- ing integrated campaigns for the agency’s clients across advertising, social media marketing, digital, event activation and public relations.
He most recently worked on Nespresso, Nestlé’s luxury coffee brand, at J. Walter Thompson London, where he was responsible for crafting strategy and overseeing the execution of global campaigns to reposition its global coffee business.
Prior to that, he spent three years in Washington D.C with the market research WPP consultancy PSB, advising on presidential and parliamentary election campaigns, conducting research on voter behaviours and attitudes and gathering insight to build and execute full communications plans to target the right segment of voters.
He completed a bachelor’s degree in international affairs and geography with a focus on national security and Iran at George Washington University, and spent a year in Dushanbe, Tajikistan in an immersive Farsi language programme.
He joins Ogilvy Malaysia as it works toward integrated communication with an emphasis on building brands and developing the areas of behavioral science, e-commerce, e-CRM, data and DX over the next few years.
