Naza Group offers GST rebates

PETALING JAYA: The Naza Group is offering rebates for its Kia, Peugeot, Citroen and DS models in light of the zero-rating of the goods and services tax (GST) from June 1 onwards.

Naza Kia Malaysia, the official distributor of Kia vehicles in Malaysia, is offering GST rebates of between RM2,800 and RM10,600 for its models until May 31, 2018.

“In light of the announcement made by the Finance Ministry to fix the GST at 0%, Naza Kia Malaysia will honour purchases made from now until May 31, 2018 with a 6% GST reimbursement.

“Eligible customers will receive instant cash redemption in the interim during this period until the new sales and service tax (SST) has been established by the Finance Ministry,” Naza Kia said in a statement yesterday.

According to the company, the on-the-road price of the Picanto EX has been slashed to RM47,079.43 from RM49,888.00 previously, while the Picanto Novus is down to RM52,079.43 from RM55,188.00.

Prices of its Rio, Cerato, Sportage and Optima GT models have been reduced between RM4,506.68 and RM9,858.06; prices of the company’s three Sorento variants have been slashed from RM9,215.71 to RM10,468.23; while its three Grand Carnival models are now cheaper by between RM8,996.54 and RM10,638.05.

Separately, Nasim Sdn Bhd said it’s also offering GST zero-rated pricing for Peugeot, Citroen and DS models.
