Deadline for SOBA extended

COMPANIES hoping for a chance to be recognised at The Star Outstanding Business Awards (SOBA) 2018 will have more time to prepare their applications as the submission deadline has been extended to Oct 26.

This is to accommodate the overwhelming enquiries from various businesses across Malaysia.

The extension will enable companies that are new to the awards to have more time to prepare their documentation for submission and will benefit those based outside of the Klang Valley.

The submissions can be couriered to or dropped off at Menara Star by 5pm on Oct 26.

SOBA is open to all local enterprises and the awards will be given out in two tiers – one for enterprises with a turnover of over RM25mil and another for those generating less than that per annum.

SOBA has eight “Top-Of-TheClass” awards, namely, Best in Marketing, Best Brand, Best in CSR, Best Green Initiative, Best Employer, Best Innovation, Best Global Market and a new category – Best Use of Technology – to benchmark enterprises in the effective use and integration of technology into their business.

There are also three “Outstanding Achievement” awards up for grabs, which are Rising Star, Entrepreneur of the Year (Male/Female/Young) and the coveted Malaysian Business of the Year.

Winners will be announced at the Awards Night in January.

SOBA 2018 is organised by Star Media Group with Digi, PKT Logistics Group Sdn Bhd and RHB Bank Bhd as main sponsors, Credit Guarantee Corporation as co-sponsor, Matrade as official trade promotion partner and New World Petaling Jaya Hotel as official venue.
