Fitters Diversified wins Rm78.3mil housing construction contract
PETALING JAYA: Fitters Diversified Bhd has won a Rm78.3mil construction contract for a housing project that would begin this month.
The company in a statement said the acceptance of the contract was based on the good track record of its subsidiary company in the delivery of 338 units of terrace houses.
This includes infra-structure works to Pencala Jaya Sdn Bhd under the Rm97.8mil Phase 1 Azalea@taman Putra.
The handover was in July 2020. Subsidiary Fitters Construction Sdn Bhd was also previously awarded a similar contract valued at Rm81.5mil for the construction of 230 units of two-storey terrace houses and 32 units of three-storey terrace houses.
Approvals from the local authorities are at its final stages and earthwork is expected to begin in the last quarter of 2020.
It said some stages of upgrading the main infra-structure works such as main drain, on site detention pond, incoming water supply and road widening works worth approximately Rm4.36mil for phases two and three, had commenced and partially completed under the phase one contract package.
The letter of award for the Rm78.3mil contract was for a period of 24 months from the date of building plan approval by the relevant authorities or 42 months from Dec 1, 2020, whichever was earlier.
The awarded construction contracts would ensure continuity and would contribute positively to the group’s earnings for the financial years ending Dec 31, 20212023, it said.
