Ahmad Nazim is LTAT CEO

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Ahmad Nazim Abdul Rahman has been appointed chief executive officer of Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT) with effect from today.

The Armed Forces fund said Nazim is taking over from Datuk Seri Amrin Awaluddin, who stepped down on April 30 to serve as the new group managing director and CEO of Lembaga Tabung Haji.

LTAT chairman, General Datuk Seri di-raja Tan Sri Mohd Zahidi Zainuddin (retired), said LTAT looked forward to his leadership.

“In his role, Nazim will lead the transforma­tion initiative­s and steer LTAT towards a sustainabl­e and competitiv­e retirement fund for its stakeholde­rs.

“We are confident that his broad experience in corporate and financial sectors in major financial centres around the world would bring fresh perspectiv­es to LTAT and ensure a successful execution of its transforma­tion, ” Zahidi said in a statement.

Nazim has 20 years of profession­al experience in the areas of corporate management, corporate finance and investment.

Prior to joining LTAT, he was based in Singapore and the United Arab Emirates as managing director for South-east Asia of Allied Investment Partners, an investment and advisory firm.

Nazim served as CEO of Pelaburan MARA Bhd from 2013 to 2018 and was a pioneering member of the Board of National Bank of Abu Dhabi (M) Bhd.

He has served as a board member of financial institutio­ns, listed companies and public agencies.

He is currently a board member of Energy Commission Malaysia, Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional, Omesti Bhd and Regulus Advisors Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based private equity fund.
