Foreign money into Bursa
PETALING JAYA: Foreign investors returned to Malaysia’s bourse for a net inflow of Rm425.62mil last week, according to MIDF Research.
The top three sectors that saw net inflows from foreign investors were financial services (Rm137.6mil), consumer products (Rm133mil) and services and healthcare (Rm70.4mil).
Local institutions were net sellers to the tune of Rm252mil while local retailers sold Rm173.57mil net of Bursa Malaysia equities.
International funds have been net buyers for 26 out of the 45 weeks of 2022, with a total net inflow of Rm6.18bil.
Local institutions were net sellers for 31 out of 45 weeks, with a total net outflow of Rm8.14bl.
Local retailers have been net buyers for 28 out of 45 weeks with year-to-date net buyers at Rm1.96bil, MIDF Research noted.
