Dutch Lady expects capital investment to rise

-

PETALING JAYA: Dutch Lady Milk Industries Bhd expects the estimated total capital investment for the construction of its new manufacturing facilities in Bandar Baru Enstek to increase to Rm540mil from Rm340mil between 2021 and 2025.

“The increase is mainly due to the inclusion of additional capital expenditure items as well as unprecedented inflation which has significantly increased the cost of materials, fuel and labour,” Dutch Lady said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

For its third quarter ended Sept 30, 2022, net profit rose to Rm24.40mil from Rm20.38mil a year earlier, while revenue grew to Rm337.77mil from Rm290.66mil a year earlier.

Basic earnings per share stood at 38.10 sen versus 31.80 sen earlier.
