Yet another ‘home alone’ case in Perak

-

IN yet another “home alone” case, two young children were left to fend for themselves at their home in Jalan Pasir Bedamar, Teluk Intan, for 12 hours daily while their mother went to work, Sin Chew Daily reported.

The children, aged three and four, were left naked and ate whatever food was left in the house by their Indonesian mother, said to be in her 30s.

Neighbour Gao Shu Lian said the mother was forced to work at a noodle shop after her husband, in his 50s, left home two months ago.

“It is dangerous to leave the children unattended for hours. I have seen them trying to switch on the gas stove,” she said, adding that the mother would leave the house at 6am.

Gao had advised the mother not to leave her children at home but she said she had no choice.

She hoped the Welfare Department would look into it.

> Singer Faye Wong has denied she is two months’ pregnant, China Press reported.

This followed media reports that the Cantopop queen, whose second husband Li Yapeng had reportedly wished to have a son, would give birth to a dragon baby.

The couple has a six-year-old daughter while Wong also has a 15year-old daughter from her first marriage.

Wong had allegedly said she was making an appearance in a Chinese New Year show to earn more money as she was expecting her third baby.
