Franchise company bags double awards
RIDPEST Sdn Bhd won the SME ICT Adoption award while its associate company, Ridpest Franchise Sdn Bhd, bagged the Rising Star award at the SME Recognition Award 2011 on Dec 8.
International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed presented the awards to Ridpest general manager Winslow Wong and Ridpest Franchise, franchise development manager Philip Chan respectively at the annual award dinner organised by the SMI Association of Malaysia.
The SME ICT Adoption award is bestowed on non-listed SMES heeding the Government’s call to automate and adopt ICT in their businesses to attain operation efficiency and compete efficiently in the market.
The award is based on Ridpest’s practical and aggressive initiatives towards adoption of ICT and reaping benefits both operationally and financially as a result.
The SME Rising Star Award is conferred on young SMES which have displayed great potential to become successful players in local and international marketplace.
They are companies that are on the verge of a breakthrough and will become successful, when given the necessary financial support, guidance and nurturing.
Awardees were evaluated by professionals and experts, and visited by the audit committee before their submissions and profile are presented to the selection committee comprising prominent businessmen and captains of the industry to select the award winners to ensure the high integrity and quality of SME Recognition Award 2011 achievers.
