Khaled: Govt to boost country’s status with education

-

PASIR GUDANG: The Government, in its push towards becoming a high-income nation, will continue to care for the people, especially where education is involved.

Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said education had been provided to the people from young up to the tertiary level.

“The Government has always emphasised the importance of education to all,” he said.

“For example, the National Higher Education Fund Corporation was set up to help students from lower- or middleincome families to continue their studies,” he said at the opening of Tabika Kemas Taman Rinting here yesterday.

Khaled also said the Government’s effort to give priority to education was part of its ongoing transformation programme to help the country achieve the status it aimed for.
