POLICE have arrested a 43-year-old man who had allegedly sodomised and urinated on his wife’s face in what was reported as a satanic ritual that he had carried out for nearly five years, Metro Ahad reported.

He was picked up at 4am on Friday after his wife, aged 38, lodged a police report.

Kangar district police chief Supt Abdul Rahman Mohd Noordin said the suspect acted surprised and could not understand why he was being arrested until told by the police.

The man, a civil servant in Perlis, was also not aware that his wife had run away from home and had lodged a police report.

“The offence is serious but rather unusual as we have not faced such a situation before. Furthermore, the victim is the man’s wife,” said Supt Abdul Rahman.

The man’s arrest followed a Harian Metro front page report that a mother of three had been repeatedly sodomised by her husband. Worse, he would urinate on her face whenever they were “together”.

The wife reportedly had to bear the humiliation for the past five years, when her husband became acquainted with a younger woman.

The battered wife and her childrern are currently in the care of a relative while her husband has been remanded until today.

> A group of youngsters who were engrossed in watching an erotic pole dance were caught unawares when policemen entered the place to stop the act.

The 61 underaged youths were hauled to the Dang Wangi police station in Kuala Lumpur and their families notified in the 1am Ops Noda raid on Satuday, Sinar Harian reported.

The paper said the police also nabbed six dancers who had performed in only their bras and panties at the newly-opened entertainment outlet in Jalan P. Ramlee, said to be unlicensed.
