My missing wife married someone else, says dejected hubby

A MALAYSIAN suspected that his missing Filipino wife had committed bigamy after he found wedding photos of her with another man on Facebook, China Press reported.

The man, known only as Su, said his 32year-old wife also changed her status from “single” to “married” on the social website.

The 39-year-old jobless man said he had been monitoring his wife’s Facebook account after she went missing two years ago.

“I have tried to call her but she refused to pick up my calls,” he said. “To make matters worse, she called me recently to tell me that she does not want a divorce,” he said.

However, NUJ president Chin Sung Chew said it would still carry on with its EGM on March 3 to discuss the issue.

“Profession­al code of ethics for journalist­s and ensuring fair reporting during the next general election will also be discussed,” he said.

> China Press reported that a 25-year-old woman had allegedly conned her friends of between RM2,000 and RM7,000 each after offering to buy air tickets for them.

The woman, who claimed to be an employee of a budget airline, had promised to buy the tickets and travel packages at discounts – but the tickets turned out to be fakes.
