Thai LPG tanker runs aground off Taiwan

TAIPEI: A Thai LPG tanker ran aground off a group of islands in the Taiwan Strait, but all 16 crew members were rescued and there were no signs of maritime pollution, an official said. The Oberon was carrying more than 1,000 tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas when it ran aground off Penghu, an archipelago in the middle of the Taiwan Strait, an official with Taiwan’s transportation ministry said.
