Cops wrap up probe into scoutmaster-molest case
PETALING JAYA: Police have completed their investigations into the case of the 44-year-old scoutmaster who allegedly molested female students.
The investigation papers are expected to be submitted to the Attorney-general’s chambers soon.
“Investigations have been completed and it is a straight-forward case,” Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Mohd Adnan Abdullah said.
On Feb 16, the man, who identified himself as “Mr Ho” at a press conference, vehemently denied the allegations after a police report was lodged against him by the parents of an alleged victim.
The scoutmaster of a secondary school in Damansara also denied allegations that he raped his 14-year-old daughter.
More than 10 girls were allegedly victimised by him.
In the police report against the man, a student claimed she was called into the storeroom of the school’s scouts office to try on a new uniform.
The girl alleged that as she was trying on the uniform, the scoutmaster measured the clothes on her body and pulled her pants towards him and tried to touch her private part.
Deputy Education Minister Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong has been reported as saying that preliminary investigations by the ministry revealed the scoutmaster was a qualified coach and a parent of a student at the school.
On Feb 18, three more police reports were lodged by parents against the scoutmaster.
