Disney On Ice’s Let Celebrate showcases the artistry of ice skating through a compilation of stories from over 16 Disney stories.
CLASSIC contemporary Disney tunes, brilliant costumes and high energy action await audiences when Feld Entertainment’s ice spectacular Disney On Ice returns next month in tandem with the school holidays.
Making its way to the Penang International Sports Arena in Bayan Baru, Penang, from March 9 till 11, folks can look forward to a colossal party on ice featuring a magical montage of first-time as well as perennially popular Disney characters from over 16 Disney stories. The showcase is pesented by PR Worldwide and sponsored by Maybank, in collaboration with Eastin Hotel Penang.
Join Mickey and Minnie Mouse as they celebrate a very merry “unbirthday” party with Alice and the Mad Hatter of Alice In
Wonderland; a Royal Valentine’s Day Ball with the Disney princesses; a Hawaiian luau with characters of Lilo & Stitch; a winter wonderland with Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear of The Toy Story; a Halloween haunt with the Disney villains and more.
Let’s Celebrate will also see Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen from Walt Disney Pictures’
The Princess And The Frog making its debut live on ice. Combining the incredible talents of world-class professional figure skaters and heart-warming stories, innovative set designs, lavish costumes, dazzling lighting and enchancting music, the showcase promises a heart-warming Disney experience for both families and friends.
Kicking off the show will be Mickey and his friends jiving to tunes from Beauty and The Beast. A special version of the song Be Our Guest will accompany the ice spectacle and only exclusive to the show. Next up is Alice In Wonderland’s The
Unbirthday Party where Mickey Mouse and his friends make merry. Cleaning up the mess will be no feat for magical brooms that appear from thin air where the brooms’ synchronised skating will dazzle audiences while Mickey prepares for his role as the sorcerer’s apprentice.
To kick off the second half of the show, we head to Hawaii to join Stitch and his beach party. In Rio’s Carnivale parade, Mickey shows off his dance moves including a signature Michael Jackson’s move; and during the Hanami (a Japanese custom of enjoying the beauty of flowers), Minnie dons a kimono for the very first time. Audiences will also be thrilled with a Chinese New Year and Mardi Gras revelry that add to the excitement of celebrations happening right before their eyes.
Ending the show in its majestic grand finale is the year’s most wonderful holiday of all – Christmas. Watch Santa Goofy appearing from the fire place, while Buzz and Woody’s friends hide inside the presents.
Finally, Tinker Bell uses a dash of her magical pixie dust to turn the stage into a dazzling illuminated world with magical parades, culminating in a show that is all set to add some much needed joy to everyone.
