PTPL fetes award recipients
Aceremony to celebrate outstanding PTPL College students was held in a special ceremony at the Chancellor’s Hall, Management & Science University, Shah Alam recently.
At the ceremony, 903 students received the President List Award. The group of students consist of those who took certificates and diploma programmes from 19 fields offered at PTPL College.
The ceremony also saw 36 students receiving the President’s List award for outstanding achievements. They obtained Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.75 and above for three consecutive semesters.
Ten students have been selected to receive the Best School Student Award.
Recipients of this award had a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.75 and are also active in academic as well as curriculum activities.
Meanwhile, Nurul Fadhilah Marzuki from Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology was awarded the Best Overall Student Award.
She is an active student and is currently President of the PTPL Student Council. She has a CGPA of 3.97.
Nurul received a certificate of appreciation, bouquet of flowers and a plaque.
The President’s List certificate is a prestigious award given out every semester to cultivate a culture of excellence among MSU’S students.
The awards honour students who demonstrated excellent results in each semester of studies.
This event was officiated by MSU and PTPL Group of Colleges president, Prof Datuk Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab. Yajid. Also present were PTPL Shah Alam principal Miskiah Tijan, MSU and PTPL Group of Colleges corporate communications vice president Datuk Rosli Yusof, deans, senior officials of PTPL, lecturers, parents and students.
Earlier in his speech, Mohd Shukri said PTPL is proud of their student’s achievements as this illustrates not only hard work and talent but also commitment as a college in maintaining high quality education.
These awards are an appreciation of the student’s accomplishment and it also serves as an inspiration for the student to maintain academic excellence.
He also mentioned that the role of parents in providing the best education to their children should not be forgotten.
Without the support and sacrifice of parents the student’s may not achieve success.
Besides that, the ceremony also witnessed the oath taking ceremony for 340 new students.
PTPL offers certificates, Diploma and undergraduate through the School of Health & Life Sciences, School of Business Management & Professional Studies, School of Information Sciences & Engineering and School of Hospitality & Culinary Arts.
