Early Childhood Education with Victoria University
LOCATED at Bandar Sunway, Kolej Dika is a specialist college in Early Childhood Education. The diploma programmes offered at Kolej Dika are accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
Kolej Dika signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Victoria University of Wellington, (VUW) New Zealand on Jan 9.
The signing ceremony celebrated the collaborative efforts of the parties to offer a degree programme.
The collaboration is aimed at paving a more affordable path for students to continue their studies.
The MOU was signed by Kolej Dika’s executive chairman Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Abdul Rahman Arshad and Victoria University of Wellington’s pro vice-chancellor, who is the Faculty of Education dean, Professor Dugald Scott.
Kolej Dika’s Diploma in Early Childhood Education is accredited by New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) at Level 5.
The diploma has been recognised by Victoria University of Wellington for entry into Year 3 of the BED (Teaching) Early Childhood.
Lecturers from VUW will be flown in to deliver the programme.
This will be supported by the academic team at Kolej Dika who will offer tutorials and guidance.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by invited guests, Kolej Dika staff, lecturers as well as Kolej Dika’s past and present students.
Kolej Dika director of operation Deanna Tung presented a preview of the intended collaboration.
The session was followed by a dialogue session between guests and both institutions.
The event stirred up very enthusiastic responses from the audience who were eager for the programme to start.
Kolej Dika welcomes their alumni as well as present students to speak to the college staff for the pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education in New Zealand.
Entry for holders of other Malaysianapproved accredited diplomas in early childhood education will be determined by the Victoria University of Wellington Associate Dean.
