Arun started his journey in the Maths programme at the age of six. He was not enrolled in any kindergarten, making Kumon his first formal education.

As he was progressing well through the Kumon worksheets, his self-confidence gradually built up.
In the beginning, he asked for assurance to confirm his answers. However, as he progressed to higher levels, he gained enough confidence to derive answers independently. He was not afraid of making mistakes because he knew that he could learn from mistakes.
“On the first school day of my primary 3, my math teacher caught me practising concavity and tangents in class. She couldn’t understand what I was doing,” said Arun with a big smile.
