PETALING JAYA: Celebrity TV host and producer Jojo Struys ( pic) is the ambassador for the inaugural Star Health Fair 2012.
Struys is looking forward to the event as it will give her the opportunity to help people to take charge of their physical, mental and emotional well-being.
She will conduct a daily workshop on different topics and conduct guided relaxation exercise during the fair at Midvalley Exhibition Centre from April 6 to 8.
Struys said the event was timely given the challenges faced by people in leading a healthy and stress-free life.
“It is fantastic that The Star is organising this event because it will give the public an opportunity to learn how to take care of their health,” she said.
“The Star Health Fair is going to be a great event as there is going to be something for everyone given the diversity of the participants conducting the talks and workshops.”
Struys, who manages her own production house kyanite.tv, said her guided relaxation CD “Letting Go with Jojo Struys” would be launched at the fair.
The CD comprises six audio tracks including guided exercises to help people de-stress, think positively or completely unwind after a long day.
“One track actually helps people fall asleep and is for those who have a million things running through their minds even at bedtime,” said Struys, who is also the host of cooking programme Chalk and Cheese which is aired in nine countries by the Asian Food Channel.
She added that people should never go to bed angry as this would result in them carrying all the negativity right into their sleeping state which would adversely affect the body and mind.
Admission is free for the Star Health Fair 2012 which starts at 10am and ends at 7pm.
