Singer Maher Zain promises to stick to making songs full of Islamic nuances and moral messages

JAKARTA: Swedish singer Maher Zain ( pic) has promised not to give up delivering songs full of Islamic nuances and moral messages, which are his signature tunes.

The 31-year-old said singing holy songs meant “more than merely to entertain”, as quoted by kompas.com.

“I really hope that I will never stop bringing Islamic songs to my fans. I am at ease whenever I sing that kind of songs, because I believe that they will inspire many people,” he said here.

The singer, who named his debut album Thank You Allah, admitted that his each song had its own “missions”.

He said people should be grateful for little things that had major impacts in their lives, such as making peace with oneself or showing gratitude to one’s mother.

The singer confessed that his songs Insya Allah (by God’s will) and For the Rest of My Life represented his vision.

In his second album, Forgive Me, the Lebanese-born singer pays tribute to his mother in one of his songs called Number One for Me.

“I have a lot of messages that I want to convey, just like that one particular song that I dedicate to my mother.

“I want my fans to listen to this emotional song. Mothers are the most precious human beings in our life,” said the singer, who is also a songwriter and music producer. — The Jakarta Post / Asia News Network
