Get creative
ATTENTION, budding shutterbugs! If you are between the ages of 13 and 18 and have a keen interest in photography, then the Homegrown Photography Contest and workshop by KL International Photoawards (KLPA) is just the thing for you!
The programme will include various activities but the highlight is a workshop by professional photographers, to be held at The Warehouse Gallery in Kuala Lumpur, on April 21. Registration is now open so hurry as places are limited.
For the contest segment of the programme, participants will be tasked to use their creativity and imagination to produce a series of three to 10 photographs that best interpret the theme “Going Green”.
You may submit colour or black-and-white images, in any style you choose including portraits, landscapes and even conceptual shots. The period for submission is between April 21 and May 6.
The top three winners will gain free entry to the KL International Photoawards 2013 competition and cash prizes are up for grabs – RM1,000 for first place, RM500 for second and RM250 for third place.
The top 25 shortlisted entries will be exhibited in a public gallery at the same time as the KL International Photoawards 2012 finalists and winners exhibition, sometime in June.
