AXN Beyond is now betv

AXN Beyond is now known as betv (Astro Ch 720) following a move to rebrand the channel by Sony Pictures Television Networks, Asia.

“Renaming the channel to betv better reflects the broad general entertainment service that it offers.

“We believe betv will soon become the new entertainment ‘hang-out’ for viewers to relax, laugh, catch up with their favourite characters and shows, or just unwind after a long day,” says Ricky Ow, the network’s Senior Vice President and General Manager in a press release.

In line with this, betv is introducing a warmer, more casual look and feel besides a line-up of light, easy-to-watch programmes such as reality series I Get That A Lot and Rob Schneider’s sitcom Rob.

Premiering on Sunday at 9pm, I Get That A Lot will feature some of your favourite Hollywood celebrities taking on everyday jobs, ranging from being a gas station attendant to a computer technician.

The series gets its name when these celebrities deny their identities after being approached by customers, saying, “I get that a lot”. With hidden cameras planted all around, viewers will surely find the puzzled expression of these unsuspecting customers entertaining.

Among the celebrities featured are socialite Paris Hilton who works as a petrol kiosk staff, supermodel Heidi Klum as a waitress at a pizza parlour, singer Jessica Simpson as a computer technician, hip hop artiste Snoop Dog as a parking attendant and actress Pamela Anderson as a Victoria Secret’s saleswoman.

For those who have been following their favourite TV series previously shown on AXN Beyond, betv continues to air A Gifted Man, Pan Am, Necessary Roughness and the latest season of Supernatural and Top Chef.

On top of that, for viewers who wish to take a trip down memory lane, betv is bringing back old familiar shows such as the beloved Raymond Barone (Ray Romano) in Everybody Loves Raymond and the compassionate angel Monica (Roma Downey) in Touched By An Angel.
