acters to bring his story to life.

Zinc, Finley and Figg are as real as any one of us. They have their ups and downs, they fight over petty things and make up as quickly as anyone with only two friends would. Add into the mix their reluctant secretary Gibson, and The Litigators has a handful of scenes and one-liners that had me howling like a mad person.

While the premise of the book may be of small-time lawyers struggling to keep their businesses afloat, the story also touches on a few topics that we could all learn something from. The loyalty Zinc shows towards his newfound bosses (but friends foremost) is simply inspiring. He helps resuscitate the dying firm and looks for cases that will actually make them money instead of spending what they don’t have.

In fact, he finally lands a proper lawsuit for the firm, and it eventually leads to one of the best courtroom scenarios I’ve read in a Grisham book. It is simply hilarious to read how the inexperienced lawyer works the case alone, even resorting to having his hot wife pretend to be a paralegal at one point. And yes, that’s how useless Figg and Finley really are....

The Litigators is definitely a must read for all, regardless of whether you’re a die hard Grisham, lawyers or courtroom drama fan. It’ll get you laughing and will help you forget about your worries, even if it’s just for a while. The only downside is that people might think that you’re crazy while you’re reading this book. That’s because you’ll be laughing like a mad person and they would have no idea why.
