Mohd Idzuan Abdul Samad celebrating his win in Red FM’S Blankety Blank contest. The 42-year-old videographer bagged RM25,700 after guessing the the right missing word in the contest.

PETALING JAYA: All it took was a simple guess and Mohd Idzuan Abdul Samad received his best belated birthday gift ever.

The 42-year-old videographer who celebrated his birthday on Monday, took home RM25,700 after guessing right the missing word on the Red FM Breakfast Show’s Blankety Blank contest early yesterday.

“I was hoping to ride on my birthday luck,” said Mohd Idzuan who relentlessly called Red FM around 50 times in the past five months.

The Petaling Jaya native completed the sentence: “There won’t be another ...” with the winning word “Undertaker”.

The statement was made by Triple H on wrestling programme WWE, referring to a wrestler called The Undertaker.

Mohd Idzuan is not a wrestling fan, but he happened to remember that line from the programme he was watching with a friend some years ago.

“I plan to go on a long holiday with my wife and my baby,” said Mohd Idzuan enthusiastically.

To participate, listeners had to call in the radio station from Monday to Friday at the 7am-hour and fill in the missing word of a sentence given by deejays Lil’ Kev and Sarimah.

The RM100 cash prize had snowballed every weekday since April last year.

Mohd Idzuan is the second winner to date after another lucky listener walked away with RM28,000 in the same contest last year.

Red FM is operated by The Star.
