Cops hurt after ramming wall of PM’S home

KUALA LUMPUR: Five policemen were injured when a car they were travelling in crashed into the cement wall of the Prime Minister’s official residence in Putrajaya.

The police constables, aged between 20 and 22 and attached with the Shah Alam police headquarte­rs, were warded at the Putrajaya Hospital before one of them was discharged, Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Mohmad Salleh said.

Mohmad said the five policemen were not on duty when the crash occurred at about 4am yesterday, adding that investigat­ions centred on why they were near the official residence.

He said the car belonged to one of the policemen. — Bernama
