Assets report released President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama hold assets worth between nearly Us$2.6mil (Rm8.06mil) and nearly Us$8.3mil (Rm25.7mil), according to financial disclosure reports released by the White House. Obama’s Republican opponent, Mitt Romney, is said to be worth Us$190mil (Rm589mil) to Us$250mil (Rm775mil), with much of his money coming from investments.

Promotion for teachers Some 24,000 teachers were promised promotions at the 41st national-level Teachers Day celebration. The promotion of the teachers was in line with the Government’s effort to boost the profession.
