A moment please...

THIS week has been a crazy one with too many things going on at once. When that happens, it’s just about taking a deep breath and not letting the little things annoy me. And believe me, when you put it in perspective, it’s always the little things.

Speaking of hectic schedules, one such busy person is our cover personality this week. The gorgeous Sonia Couling doesn’t seemed to have aged at all since her MTV Asia VJ days. How many of you remember the days when MTV only played music? Sonia has gone a long way since then. She was in KL recently and we managed to catch up with her for a chat, you can read about it in Glamour Goddess.

Do you notice how brows play an important role in how you look? With the right brows, your eyes instantly become more attractive, especially if it frames your face perfectly. Getting the right brow shape however, can be a tricky thing.

We’ve all seen women with virtually no eyebrows, too much eyebrows and who hasn’t had an accident where it’s over plucked? Of course you can shade and fill the brows back in, but that looks rather fake, unless it’s done properly. In Beauty Box, we look at how to get the perfect brows courtesy of a book dedicated solely to this topic by Benefit.

You’ve all seen the collections for spring 2013, at least I hope you did since we’ve been featuring it for the past few weeks! If you want to get a jump on next season and start easing into spring, it’s always easier to do it by picking out the key trends in accessories and make-up and applying to your current look. Turn to Stylefile for some ideas on making the transition into next season.

Our People personality this week is Russian supermodel, Natalia Vodianova. You wouldn’t believe she actually has three kids by looking at her! Her rise to the top is an interesting story and it’s amazing how far she has gone. Of course having looks helped, but she has that X-factor that separates the ordinary beauty from the extraordinary one.

Since the two beauties in our issue this week seem to be ageless, ok, it’s not as if they’re that old to begin with, but retaining your looks from your 20s to your 30s isn’t that easy either. You just need to look at some women to see how they’ve aged in 10 years and they’re not even 40 yet.

Our Living section talks about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle from your 20s and 30s so that you’ll still look good in your 40s and beyond. You’d be surprised that it’s not just about slathering sunblock and moisturiser plus exercising and eating well, though that certainly helps. It’s also important to maintain a positive outlook in life and smile and be happy.

As I mentioned earlier, don’t let the little things bother you. After all, what irritated you yesterday is more often than not, irrelevant today and forgotten by tomorrow. Or if it isn’t, it should be, because seriously, do you want wrinkles over something inconsequential? Think happy thoughts! And should your upper eyelids need a lift, fret not, take part in our giveaway.

Thanks for all the letters, do keep sending them in, we always love hearing from you. Till next week!
