WHEN Malaysian parents think of registering their children into a private and international school, they are often concerned with the 3Cs - curriculum, culture and cost.
However, the decision is made even more difficult as they are spoilt for choice in terms of facilities and curricula that fit their children’s needs.
For parents who cannot make up their mind on the right curriculum and school for their children, fret no more. Come to the 25th Star Education Fair and speak to the experts.
With a growing interest among Malaysian parents to enrol their children into private and international schools, the fair is set to be a one-stop centre to help them make an informed decision that could potentially change their children’s study experience.
The International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) director of marketing Hilda Alposilva said the fair would be a platform for the school to engage with local parents and expatriates who were looking for specific programmes for their children.
“Not only will it provide an exposure for ISKL but also an opportunity for prospective families to interact with school representatives and learn more about ISKL, the curriculum International School, Kodaikanal International School, and Sri Garden International School.
The Star Education Fair also offers advice on study options at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The country’s premier education fair will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on Dec 15 and Dec 16.
Opening hours will be from 11am to 7pm on both days. It will have close to 600 booths, with nearly 200 exhibitors.

Representatives of seven private and international schools will be present at the fair to give visitors information on different curricula such as the Cambridge IGCSE, the International Baccalaureate programme as well as the Australian curriculum.
Other exhibitors are the Australian International School Malaysia, Epsom College, Fairview International School, The Kilmore
Those keen on obtaining scholarships can get the necessary information from the Star Education Fund. The fund will also have its own booths at the fair.
Among the activities lined up are personality and interest tests, psychology games, and free eye screening.
The fair will also be held at the Penang International Sports Arena (PISA) on March 23 and 24.
