BMWM6 Coupe goes on sale at nearly Rm1mil

BMW’s latest M6 Coupe ( pic) is here, featuring motorsports tweaks by its M division that results in a sexy looking luxury coupe with breathtaking performance.

First unveiled to the world in June, the second generation M6 Coupe now sports a high revving 4.4-litre V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology which includes two TwinScroll turbochargers, High Precision Injection direct injection and variable valve technology to deliver a whopping 560bhp and 680Nm of torque.

A 0-100kph sprint in be achieved in a scorching 4.2 seconds.

Despite a 10% increase in maximum power and 30% increase in torque compared to its predecessor, the new M6 Coupe has an average EU cycle fuel consumption level of 9.9 litres per 100km.

This is a 30% improvement from the previous generation and is also the only vehicle in its segment to marry in an excess of 500bhp power delivery with less than 10 litres per 100kmmileage.

It also gets a unique feature in the segment, a contoured and lightweight carbon fibre reinforced plastic roof to reduce weight and lower the car’s centre of gravity for increased agility.

The M6 Coupe has been tested out during development stage on the most demanding race track in the world, the Nürburgring North Loop, to ensure that comprehensive attention is paid to powertrain and chassis set up.

Its seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic promises exceptionally fast gearshifts without any loss of power while the Launch Control function provides maximum acceleration from a standing start.

In addition, the Low Speed Assistance enhances driving comfort in stop-and-go traffic situations.

Other equipment includes the new Active M Differentials, an electronically controlled multi-plate limited-slip differential that regulates power distribution between right and left rear wheels, to deliver optimum traction.

In addition, the Dynamic Damper Control feature allows drivers to choose between Comfort, Sport and Sport+ settings on the M6 Coupe’s electronically controlled dampers to suit their driving preference.

Braking performance comes fromMcarbon ceramic brakes with calipers featuring six pistons at the front and matte gold finish withM logo.

Priced at RM988,800, on-the-road without insurance, available body colours are AlpineWhite, Black Sapphire, Imperial Blue, Singapore Grey, Havanna, Sakhir Orange, Silverstone, San Marino Blue and Space Grey with a choice of either extended leather trim or full leather Merino Silverstone, Sakhir Orange or Merino Black for the interior.
