Actress’ cash goes missing
Lisa baffled over RM51,000 disappearance
ACTRESS Lisa Surihani (pic) is baffled as to how RM51,000 “mysteriously” disappeared from her bank account.
Even more bewildering was that the bank told her that her ATM card could no longer be used as someone else had applied for a new card under her name.
Lisa told Kosmo! on Wednesday that she had lodged a police report and was awaiting the outcome of the investigation.
“I am very confused. I have no idea how such a thing could have happened,” said the 26-year-old.
> A 47-YEAR-OLD woman who once led a promiscuous lifestyle is now facing the problem of her three grown-up children picking up her “habit” of having multiple partners.
Harian Metro reported that the woman felt helpless on how to advise her children now as they knew about her past. Her children, in their 20s, are treating their home in Skudai, Johor, like a “hotel”, bringing home different lovers every other night.
They would meet their partners at bars or nightclubs.
Their mother, who only wanted to be identified as Safiah, admitted that she used to patronise nightclubs and bring home men as a way to relieve stress.
“I started visiting these nightclubs after my husband left me and our children 20 years ago. It was very difficult bringing up three children single-handedly. At the same time, I had to deal with the humiliation of being dumped,” said Safiah.
Her children, she said, began adopting her lifestyle when they were teenagers.
“I never intended for them to lead such a life but I cannot forbid them from doing so as they learned this from me,” she said.
Like any other mother, Safiah wants the best for her children but she said it was difficult to start anew again.
Johor Religious Department chief assistant director (enforcement) Mohd Zamri Kambari said the department would conduct an investigation into the family’s habit of bringing home multiple partners.
