Almy keepsmum on wedding talk

Actress: I won’t say anything until it’s certain

GORGEOUS actress Almy Nadia ( pic) has refused to respond to actor Fizz Fairuz’s announceme­nt that they would be getting married next year, reported Harian Metro.

Almy, 27, said she would rather not say anything unless it was a certainty.

“Previous experience has taught me not to be too open,” she said, expressing worry over the wrong perception­s that might hurt the feelings of others.

The couple’s relationsh­ip of over seven years ended last year when Fizz got engaged to Azlyn Massiela Mohd Nazar.

However, the engagement was called off after it was discovered that Azlyn was already married.

> A Kelantanes­e woman was caught living together with a non-Muslim man for almost a decade in a house in Batu Pahat, Johor.

The couple is believed to have a son, aged eight, reported Sinar Harian.

The Johor Islamic Religious Department is now investigat­ing the child’s religion after the woman admitted that she was no longer practising Islam.

Religious officers found the couple living together when they raided the house on Jalan Mustafa at 3am on Tuesday.

Batu Pahat deputy enforcemen­t officer Saiful Ariffin Mohd Sopah said the couple were being investigat­ed under the Johor Syariah Criminal Code 1997.

> A 25-year-old woman was beaten up by her husband for not waking up at dawn to perform the Subuh (morning) prayers, reported Harian Metro.

The woman claimed that her husband, who is his 30s, slapped and kicked her at their house in Selayang at 7.30am on Monday.

The woman left home with her son and stayed with her relative after the attack.

She lodged a police report after her husband threatened to “do something to her” if she refused to return home.

Gombak OCPD ACP Abdul Rahim Abdullah confirmed the report.
