PETALING JAYA: A Good Samaritan who helped to send an accident victim to the hospital is touched with the many positive words he has received for his deed.

Insurance agent Abdul Muhsi Ramlan (pic), 25, was travelling along Jalan Gombak on June 25 when he spotted an accident victim bleeding from his face and lying unconscious by the roadside.

“Other people there were waiting for the ambulance to send the boy to hospital but I thought that this could not wait as his injuries looked bad. I decided to send him in my car,” he said in an interview.

Abdul Muhsi, who lives in Kota Damansara, said several bystanders then helped him carry 17-year-old Teh Rui Yuan into his car.

He said he then posted Teh’s name tag on his Facebook asking people to help look for the boy’s parents as well as called his school about the accident.

Following this, the Chinese press published his story.

Asked what he thought about Teh’s blood staining his car, Abdul Muhsi said: “At that time, I only felt sorry for him and thought what it would be like if this has happened to any of my family members.”

Abdul Muhsi said the boy had told him that he suddenly felt dizzy and fell from his motorcycle, injuring himself.

This is the second time that he had helped to send an accident victim to hospital. The first was in 2012.

On Facebook, Abdul Muhsi, who got married on June 6, said he was touched to receive many positive responses for what he did.

“I have longed for a peaceful and harmonious country for a long time. Let’s make this our dream and let it start with us,” he said.

Teh’s mother, Yap Seow Lee, 41, said her son was discharged from hospital on Wednesday but would be on medical leave until July 8.

“At first, he couldn’t open his eyes. But the doctor removed debris from his eyes and they are well now,” she said, adding that her son received several stitches for his injuries.

Yap, who installs tint on car windows for a living, said she hoped to visit Abdul Muhsi along with her son before Hari Raya.

“I am happy that my son has recovered,” said the mother of two, who lives in Taman Setapak.
