Nedim and Nora free to marry, says his father

THERE is no caste barrier for Nedim Nazri to marry actress Nora Danish, his father Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz was quoted by Sinar Harian as saying.

The Tourism and Culture Minister said both were divorcees with children and are free to marry each other.

Nazri said he was not picky over his son’s choice and that he did not practise double standards.

“Both are grown ups. If they like each other, they should just get married,” he said.

Nedim and Nora had reportedly got together again after breaking up last year.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department deputy director Sani Harul said distress calls to help remove rings had become more frequent now.

On Monday, firemen in Ampang helped a man, in his 30s, to remove a ring from his finger.

After cutting the ring with a tool, firemen advised the man to seek medical help as they feared his fingers could get swollen due to a blood blockage.

In a separate case, a woman, in her 30s, also sought help from firemen in Penchala to remove a ring.

Utusan Malaysia highlighte­d her comments in the cover of its Mega pullout, complete with photograph­s of the 32-year-old in fashionabl­e outfits.

Nurzahida, who prefers to be called Zaza, said GST was essential to stimulate the economy.

She hoped that Malaysians would understand efforts taken by the Government for the betterment of the next generation.

“Perhaps, the people could not see the need for GST now but in five to 10 years, Malaysia will be known in the internatio­nal arena,” she said.

Zaza’s husband Rasha Afzal Shafie, 33, is also a Customs officer in the internatio­nal division.
