PETALING JAYA: Comedian Harith Iskander and AirAsia chief executive officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes can be seen joking about “extra charges” in a hilarious viral video to promote the premiere of new talk show Obviously Harith Iskander.

The four-and-a-half minute video starts with Harith waiting to pick Fernandes up at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) in his car.

“I’m here to pick up Tony Fernandes. He called me up earlier to say that he needed a lift to town and I’m like ‘what a cheapskate!’ Anytime he needs help, he gives me a call,” jokes Harith just before Fernandes hops into his car.

As they exit the airport, Harith starts putting “extra charges” on everything, from turning on music, to changing the temperature on the air-conditioning, and even the price of sitting in the back seat of the vehicle.

“Where do you get these charges from?” asks Fernandes, to which Harith responds, “It’s this business concept. I’m thinking every time someone gets in my car, whatever they want I just charge them. Don’t know where it came from.”

The conversation then moves on to Harith’s new talk show.

The video was uploaded to YouTube on Wednesday and has been viewed 48,000 times.

Obviously Harith Iskander, hosted by the comedian, is Malaysia’s first late-night talk show and is set to premiere on Saturday at 9.30pm on Astro Awani.

Earlier this month, Harith posted another video of him being shown around Johor Baru by the Crown Prince of Johor, also in anticipation of the show’s premiere.
