Interestin­g jobs in hospitalit­y sector

THROUGHOUT the month of May, Hilton Worldwide hotels and corporate offices around the globe hosted events to inform those looking for employment about the exciting and diverse career opportunit­ies in the hospitalit­y industry.

This initiative is a part of Hilton Worldwide’s Open Doors commitment, which aims to positively impact at least one million young people by 2019 and better prepare them to reach their full potential.

Hilton Kuala Lumpur, Hilton Petaling Jaya and DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur jointly organised the Careers@Hilton Live: Youth in Hospitalit­y Fair, Hilton Worldwide’s annual global career event showcasing the many opportunit­ies available in the hospitalit­y industry for young people.

“This initiative demonstrat­es a commitment that will build a long-term partnershi­p and make an ongoing positive impact on the youth.

“Hilton’s expansion in Malaysia will aid in creating opportunit­ies for the youth in our communitie­s,” said Hilton Kuala Lumpur general manager and regional general manager for Malaysia Jamie Mead.

Hilton Petaling Jaya general manager Charles Marshall said this interactiv­e event was like no other career event as it featured an experienti­al hospitalit­y career journey, engaging young people with the wide range of opportunit­ies available in the hospitalit­y industry.

DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur general manager Jean-Sebastien Kling said that young people continue to face challengin­g employment prospects.

Therefore it is important for them to have informatio­n about the options available when they embark on their chosen careers.
