GEORGE TOWN: A former lecturer and parttime model was found dead with stab wounds and with his head wrapped in a bedsheet at an apartment in Pinang Court 2, Lebuh Sungai Pinang 1 here.

The naked body of Norlisham Nordin, 34, was found between the dining area and kitchen of his apartment by a friend who had come looking for him at about 1pm yesterday.

He had two stab wounds, on the left side of his neck and his right shoulder.

Initial police probe revealed that the victim had been staying alone for sometime.

George Town OCPD Asst Comm Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said that the victim could have been dead for more than 48 hours, adding that he last contacted a friend on Monday.

“There was no sign of a break-in, although the furniture and things in the house were a bit disorganised.

“Both the grille and wooden doors were locked and we could not get in initially. We had to call the Fire and Rescue Department to break into the house.

Norlisham’s uncle, who declined to be named, said that Norlisham was in the business of selling clothes and handbags online.

“I cannot believe he was taken away in such a gruesome manner,” he said.
