Najib visits inaugural National Sports Carnival

BANGI: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak dropped by the inaugural National Sports Carnival to give encouragem­ent to the hundreds of participan­ts.

The event at Stadium Inspen was organised by the Implementa­tion Coordinati­on Unit and Putrajaya Profession­al Cooperativ­es.

The Prime Minister spent about 15 minutes chatting with the participan­ts and tried his hand at volleyball and table tennis.

About 800 participan­ts were involved in the carnival showcasing football, badminton, table tennis, netball, volleyball, carrom and bowling.

The event is in conjunctio­n with National Sports Day today.

Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin and Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Ali Hamsa were also present.
