Najib visits inaugural National Sports Carnival
BANGI: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak dropped by the inaugural National Sports Carnival to give encouragement to the hundreds of participants.
The event at Stadium Inspen was organised by the Implementation Coordination Unit and Putrajaya Professional Cooperatives.
The Prime Minister spent about 15 minutes chatting with the participants and tried his hand at volleyball and table tennis.
About 800 participants were involved in the carnival showcasing football, badminton, table tennis, netball, volleyball, carrom and bowling.
The event is in conjunction with National Sports Day today.
Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin and Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Ali Hamsa were also present.
